Pelado Island
Pelado Island is a small and charming tourist destination located on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, near the city of Paraty. It is a relatively small island known for its beautiful beaches with calm and crystal-clear waters, and its serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place to relax and connect with nature.
Access to Pelado Island is usually by boats or speedboats that depart from Paraty or from Praia de São Gonçalo, which is closer to the island. The journey is short, offering a pleasant experience with spectacular views of the coast.
The island is perfect for activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and light hiking. The beaches are known for their fine white sand and are surrounded by rich vegetation, creating a tranquil and paradisiacal environment. Pelado Island does not have significant urban structures, maintaining a very natural and preserved environment.
In addition to beach activities, visitors can enjoy local dishes at small kiosks or rustic restaurants that offer fresh and typical food from the region.
